Situated in the heart of Merchant City, The Scotsman Groups Flagship venue, The Corinthian Club houses Teller’s Bar & Brasserie, Nightclub and Charlie Parker’s Piano Bar, alongside a rooftop terrace and five floors of private event spaces.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a track record of success in managing a large and diverse team. They will be a natural leader with excellent communication and organisational skills, and a problem-solver who can work under pressure.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Functions Manager to join our fantastic venue, The Corinthian Club.
The Role:
As Functions Manager, your role will include:
- Carrying out all daily operations of the Conference and Functions areas.
- Ensure there is open communications at all times between the operational team and sales team.
- Ensure that all guests are given prompt, attentive service at all times.
- Ensure that all front of house areas are well presented, and ensure that all maintenance work carried out by the in-house team is up-to-date
- Conduct relevant stock takes and equipment inventory as required ? Liaise with guests and deal with any complaints as necessary
- Encourage teamwork, cooperation, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment
- Complete all necessary daily reports and departmental banking
- Produce department rotas and ensure that daily staffing levels are in line with business levels and in accordance with budgeted ratios
- Ensure all procedures in regard to costs, wastage, breakages, security, stock control are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all required standards and procedures of the company are met.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hold the appropriate food safety certificate
- Personal license holder
- Experience of Master of Ceremonies role
- Experience in a similar role.
- Great leadership skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a social environment.
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- A strong commercial awareness
- Availability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as per business needs.
